From Supermarkets to Soulmates.

In 1989, while running a family supermarket in Antwerp, the diamond capital of the world, Iakov noticed something that would change his life. People did not come back because of the product on the shelf. They came back because of how they were treated. That simple observation became the foundation of everything that followed.

Living surrounded by diamonds, what captured his imagination was not their price. It was their meaning. A stone spends billions of years under pressure, and then it gives off light. To Iakov, that was the perfect metaphor for love, for commitment, and for the human spirit itself.

What began at the supermarket counter became a love story. First with Nunu, his wife. Then with the generations of clients who trusted MAISON IN to mark the most important days of their lives. The name MAISON IN carries those two initials: I for Iakov, and N for Nunu, the love beside him.

Iakov gave without keeping score. He helped people in the community because it was the right thing to do, kept family above the business, and refused to trade in gossip. Every client was treated as family, and every piece was made with patience and honesty.

Today, his children continue his legacy at the bench and behind the counter. Every piece that leaves the atelier carries the same conviction: that the greatest luxury is time, and the greatest gift is something that lasts.
